As a Pediatric RN, I have seen other patients end up in Psych facilities with these medical conditions because they have no where to go. Some of them suffer to the extent they become suicidal or begin to self-harm. Our goal is to create awareness and improve patient access to care throughout the U.S. and starting in the South! It is outrageous that the local medical community is providing misinformation and has made navigation of services for these pediatric medical condition even more difficult.

But personally, we are aware of others in our community that have experienced some of the same challenges finding help for their suffering child. We hope sharing our story will help others!
It is outrageous that while Emma was suffering pain from AMPS, we were forced to board a train to Philly for services that could have easily been provided in our home state of Georgia. It is outrageous that while Emma was suffering pain from AMPS, we were forced to board a train to Philly for services that could have easily been provided in our home state of Georgia. The same is true for her condition likely related to PANDAS/PANS. She now receives IVIg infusions in Georgia that are prescribed by a doctor in another state. I am angry that many of the doctors in Atlanta see some of the same symptoms like "autonomic dysfunction" and say nothing is wrong and have practically been useless. We will continue to advocate for local treatment options.
